Clopay leads the door industry with the introduction of the Safety Bottom Bracket, which is designed to prevent accidental injury if a bottom bracket were removed while the door is closed and under spring tension.

Clopay’s parent company takes on a new look and a new name, the “Griffon Corporation” (formerly Instrument Systems Corporation of New York).
1997

Clopay again leads the industry with introduction of its patented EZ-SET® Spring System, which makes adding spring tension simpler and safer for consumers.
Future

As Clopay Building Products invests for the future, a major capital project has been embarked upon: the company-wide implementation of an Oracle Enterprise System, which will facilitate “Building the Bridge to the 21st Century”.
